Kuvaus Tervetuloa ainutlaatuiseen konserttiin, joka esittelee unohdetun osan suomalaista kulttuurihistoriaa! Kolme unohdetun musiikin tutkimiseen intohimoisesti suhtautuvaa muusikkoa esittää suomalaissyntyisen säveltäjän Moses Pergamentin teoksia sekä Sibeliuksen ja Schubertin pianoteoksia.

Three musicians with a passion for rediscovering forgotten music present works by the Finnish-born Jewish composer Moses Pergament alongside beloved masterpieces by Sibelius and Schubert. Sibelius’ evocative piano cycle The Trees (1914) opens the concert, followed by Pergament’s powerful Duo for violin and cello — a rarely heard work whose movements are dedicated to the memory of Toivo Kuula and of the composer’s mother.
Schubert’s monumental Wanderer Fantasy, one of the great virtuoso works of the piano repertoire, concludes the first half. After intermission, we hear Pergament’s Piano Trio — the largest work performed at his breakthrough concert in Helsinki in 1914. Soon afterwards Pergament moved to Sweden and gradually faded from Finnish musical life. More than a century later, this remarkable trio is now returning to the concert stage ahead of its first recording.
